About
Hi I'm Jordan! Thanks for checking out the National Sports Center for the Disabled website! Here's a little bit about myself.
I am a Colorado native who grew up playing sports such as basketball, track, football, and wrestling. Right now I love running and lifting weights to stay active and help me perform in other sports. I am a huge Denver sports fan as well! I recently graduated with distinction from the University of Kansas in May 2019 with a degree in Unified Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in Special Education. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! I have worked with people with various abilities all my life, including almost 10 years of work with Adam's Camp. My work there brought me to applying at the NSCD after graduation and thus I am here, loving my job with an organization I have worked with closely for years!
Some of my favorite sports that we do are archery, water/paddle sports, and of course our "zone" activities where I get to teach many of the team sports I grew up playing!
I love the effects that sports and activites have on all people, and I love that I am a part of an organization that makes it possible for all to participate in them. Whether it's developing focus, refecting on oneself, staying healthy or simply just finding something to do that doesn't involve a screen, sports and activities have countless benefits for all our participants, volunteers, and staff.
Check out all of the activities that NSCD offers and if you have an idea for something we don't, let me know! We have countless adaptations and ideas that make all sports possible for all people.
Thanks again for checking out our website and I cannot wait to meet you out in the field!
